Study: 16S rRNA sequencing analysis of the role of taurine in grouper upon SGIV infection
show Abstracthide Abstract
We performed 16s rRNA amplification-based microbiome analysis to determine the effect of taurine on gut microbiome composition upon SGIV infection. The intestinal content for 16S rRNA sequencing were collected at 3 dpi in the control, 2 g/kg taurine, SGIV, and 2 g/kg taurine + SGIV groups respectively. The PCoA analysis revealed that there was a significant difference in gut microbiota structure between control and SGIV groups, but a high degree of overlap between control and TAU+SGIV group. In detail, compared with the control group, the relative abundances of Bacteroidetes, Actinobacteriota, and Firmicutes were decreased, while that of Proteobacteria was increased in SGIV group. Notably, the relative abundances of probiotics Bacteroidetes in TAU group were significantly increased and that in TAU+SGIV group almost showed no obvious changes compared with the control group.
